Born I music just dropped another track from is up and coming album ‘King of Kings‘. With Christmas only hours away it was only right to drop this little teaser in honor of it’s name, ‘Reindeer Games’. Virginia’s very own Equaleyes aka EQ dropped a very special mixtape today. It’s not just any mixtape but a tape dedicated to the life of the late, great Nujabes (瀬場潤, Seba Jun, February 7, 1974 – February 26, 2010). He was a force to be reckoned as a Hip-Hop producer/DJ. Like most of us, I got turned on to his music through the ‘Samurai Champloo intro’ on Adult Swim. Now I bump his Modal Soul album & Metaphorical Music album from time to time. EQ does a phenomenal job spitting over Nujabes instrumentals. You can download the tape here.

G&D-New Sinatra’s very own ‘MacGuyver’ recently dropped his mixtape and I’ve gotta say…it doesn’t disappoint. Do yourself a favor and turn the volume on your comps alll the way up… bass too. Mac spits over extremely classic Hip-Hop instrumentals… I know what you’re thinking.. “yeah..yeah..the dude that lives down the street from me does that shit too..” One. The dude down your street probably uses the microphone attached to his laptop. Two. MacGuyver is a witty MC. He has yet to disappoint my ear hairs in anyway and the same goes for his team ( Waze & Born I ). Be sure to cop ‘The Nostalgia Tape’ before you head to school…or work…or the trap house..whatever. I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with Washington’s very own Born I Music on his up and coming album’s ( King of Kings ) cover. He draws the influences for his music from Hip-Hop, Electronica, Pop and Music Worldwide. Virginia’s own EQ ( Equaleyes ) just dropped a video for his latest track ‘It’s all real’. Now…this is no ordenary track ladies and gentlemen. No, no, no. The kid is spitting over Nujabes beats..and it’s not like EQ is a whack Hip-Hopper. He’s spitting dope bars in a very lyrically intelligent way.

Just a little inside scoop for ya’ll..this track is part of a huge project in the works called ‘City Lights’. It’s a tribute tape to the late and great Seba Jun ( Nujabes ). He was one of the illest Japanese Hip-Hop producers of all time. He died in a fatal car accident last February. EQ and I are working hard on this project. My part is to come up with the album art for this project. He, of course, is laying down the musical aspect of it. All I have to say is…keep your eyes peeled for this project..you heard it hear first.

Riverside Cali’s wild boy, T.Mills, is coming to VA to reap some havoc. Be sure to get your tickets early…this dude has wild fans. They will buy them before you can even blink!  T.Mills will be in Richmond, VA, Friday the 21st and Springfield,VA, Sunday the 23rd. This isn’t T.Mills’ fist time in out area..he was recently out in D.C. with Christina D’amato & Henny. Peep the video below.

Just wanted to apologize real quick to everyone for being MIA…in real life and on my blog ( I’m not dead or in a coma ). I’ve been DUMB busy with multiple projects, looking for a place to keep my black ass warm in Atlanta, attempting to get internships, and..I’m not gonna lie..Boolovin haha ( shout out to Droopzilla ). A lot of these projects are near completion so keep an eye out kids. I’m grateful for everyone’s support…still have a few things I want to do before I leave Nova.
